The spectacle of the Nations Teams parade, all-things folk at the Nations Hospitality Houses, team pits, gazebos and marquees animated by partners and exhibitors – a stone’s throw from the sea – are going to be the perfect setting for the great show we’ll witness along the trails of the Finale Outdoor Region.
Just over two weeks before the best of international enduro is back to Finale, with a great event in schedule from Thursday 29 September to Sunday 2 October.
The athletes and teams of the EWS-E first, followed by the participants in the Bluegrass Trophy of Nations, will be the driving force during almost a week of racing. The centre of the action will be once again the Event Village – and over one kilometre of seafront.
Even though it will be the excitement of the race along the trails to get the adrenaline flowing, town and Event Village will be in the spotlight on more than one occasion. The Event Village will be open to the public from Thursday 29 September and will host stands and gazebos of more than 50 attending brands, including the main event sponsors: Bluegrass, Husqvarna, Northwave and Finale Outdoor Region, together with all the pits of official and ‘less official’ teams.
Race start and finish line, award ceremonies for round and series winners – all amped-up by the legendary voice of our unstoppable commentator Enrico Guala – will fire up on stage one after the other during the long weekend. Just as the team paddock area: starting on Thursday, the athletes of EWS-E will come back twice here – during Time Control – to charge/change batteries and to get any mechanical assistance. This is a really exciting time – definitely worth seeing – when it is possible to witness the interaction between riders and crew and observe from a close distance the work of the mechanics.
Friday evening will be time for the very special, eagerly awaited Nations Team parade, with the accompaniment of the town music band. No less than 27 Nations and their 65 teams will parade all together through the streets of town, a long line of cheerful athletes. The route of the parade, surrounded by fans and a crowd of people having a good time, will follow a loop that leaves the event stage and goes back there. Once on stage, the Nations Teams will be presented one by one, with their national anthem and all. This ceremony takes place only once a year in the enduro world and is a really unique moment, quite emotional and sometimes with a few tears too – tears of joy of course.
Immediately after that, and throughout the whole day on Saturday, the public will be able to visit the Nations Team Hospitality Houses spread across town and located inside one of the many businesses that have partnered with the event. Inside the Nations Hospitality Houses, easy to recognize thanks to their own ‘totem’, all fans will be able to meet the athletes, take photos, hunt for autographs and savour a bit of the nations, thanks to typical music, food and drinks.
During the event an online map will show the location of each Nations Hospitality House – so as not to miss a single one!
Finalenduro and the whole of the Finale Outdoor Region are getting ready to be back to the top of the international enduro scene – for the tenth consecutive year – with two great competitions that will bring spectacle and emotions on and off the race tracks.
